Another project done – did a input buffer mod on a Danelectro Dan Echo DE-1. Now this things sounds awesome. If you don’t know the Dan Echo, it’s an inexpensive but very versatile digital delay pedal. It’s not boutique or a fancy high-end rack unit, but what it does, it does it well! (more…)

Latest Build: BYOC Silver Pony – Part 1
Rather, this post should’ve been entitled “Latest Build: They weren’t kidding when they said working bare aluminum is hard”. More on this later. My latest build, another guitar pedal from Build Your Own Clone is the Silver Pony, which is a clone of the revered Klon Centaur. The Klon Centaur, which apparently has not been in production in some time, is perhaps one of the most coveted pedals ever, also one of the most hotly debated. (more…)

Cool Documentary About Fuzz Boxes
My friend and amateur radio operator Jeff Schmidt N5MNW sent me this link to a very cool documentary about fuzzboxes and guitar pedals in general, featuring Billy Gibbons and several others which I’m sure you’ll recognize. Here’s the trailer:
